Raffaella Crispino

b. 1979, Naples, Italy. Lives and works in Belgium.

With various media, her approach explores contemporary cultures in their very characteristics, respecting their differences, and turns them into a social and political portrayal. She develops a visual as well as conceptual research in relation to times and places and, by stratifying meanings, personal stories and local dynamics reveal structural contradictions and open to larger topics and questions. Small dynamics always echoes larger political situations.
