Alkis Boutlis

b. 1978, Thessaloniki, Greece. Lives and works in Thessaloniki and Paris.

In his subjects and compositions he refers to the history of painting, ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary era. Using the techniques of iconic art and those of 15th century paintings, he works with several mediums (charcoal, pencil and oil painting) using cliché-verre, wood panels, canvases or paper.
