Akis Karanos

b. 1980, Thessaloniki, Greece. Lives and works in Thessaloniki.

Exploiting cultural, mythical, historical and personal imagery he forms hybrid compositions, hopefully not in need of – but creating, narrative. He constructs visual puns, absurd semiotics targeting banality; he toys with norms, given truths, meaning, commercial thought patterns.
